Clara's Christmas 2017 Hylton Performing Arts Center

  • Hylton Performing Arts Center 10960 George Mason Circle Manassas, VA, 20109 United States (map)

Come attend our annual production of Clara's Christmas at 3:30PM and at 7:30PM

The Asaph Dance Ensemble will be presenting its unique holiday tradition, "Clara's Christmas," choreographed by Robert and Robin Conrad Sturm. Based on the beloved Christmas story, "The Nutcracker," the Asaph Dance Ensemble's ballet is the story of how a young girl, Clara, discovers the true joy and hope of Christmas. Following Tchaikovsky's famous and well known score, this ballet will accompany you through Clara's myriad adventures and emotional journey, culminating in a finale that will keep your spirits lifted throughout the entire season!

This year, the Asaph Dance Ensemble is taking a delightful departure from our usual genre of classical music. Our new Christmas ballet has been choreographed to a poignant collection of country music pieces that express the truth of Christmas while filling your heart with love and joy. Robin Conrad Sturm has choreographed this new ballet, entitled “Love Has Brought Him Here,” with the tenderness and warmth that is attributed to country music. The exhilarating and fast paced choreography, along with the brand new original costumes will have this new ballet quickly becoming one of your Christmas favorites. You will recognize a few of your beloved traditional Christmas carols, but you will also be enthralled with a couple of new pieces that will pull your heart right into the message of Christmas!

Bring the entire family and start the holiday season off on the right foot! Tickets can be purchased at the door (10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas, VA 20110; Box Office Phone: 703-993-7759) or on the Hylton website: https://hyltoncenter.org/calendar/1065/
